Til tross for at det bare var 7 konfirmanter i \u00e5r, s\u00e5 var det full kirke.  Prosten filosoferte blant annet rundt sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5let om n\u00e5r man faktisk er voksen, i sin preken.  Leder i sokner\u00e5det, Ole F\u00f8nhus overbrakte en hilsen og en rose til konfirmantene.  Han hadde ogs\u00e5 med seg en blomserhilsen til klokker Oddleiv, som hadde sin siste betalte arbeidsdag som klokker i kirka denne s\u00f8ndagen.  Heretter vil klokkergjerningen (forh\u00e5pentligvis) bli utf\u00f8rt av frivillige p\u00e5 omgang under gudstjenester.  Ola F\u00f8nhus hadde det travelt denne s\u00f8ndagen, ettersom han ogs\u00e5 spilte trompet til de fleste salmene sammen med kantor Anders.
